Come to our fundraising Coffee Morning, May 8th

In order to raise money for equipment for the sensory room in Meadow Cabin, our new cabin built to cater specifically to the needs of disabled children, we are hosting a fund raising coffee morning on May 8th, from 10am -12pm in Meadow Cabin itself.

Come along on the day and enjoy all your refreshments in a real log cabin and also enjoy a raffle, along with other fun planned for the morning.

The cost for this splendidly relaxing and enjoyable morning - while also raising money for the very good cause of creating a much needed sensory room for disabled children - is only £5. Simply turn up on the day and pay on the door!

Meadow in spring time

As seasons change and the days lengthen, who wouldn’t want to spend spring time in a Meadow? Well at Barnstondale centre we don’t just have a beautiful dale for you to enjoy, but you can also stay in a Meadow!

Meadow cabin, our new cabin built to enable disabled children to visit the centre, is fully open and ready for guests, after being opened last year by the Mayor of Wirral, Councillor Moira McLaughlin.

We’ll be welcoming many guests in 2012 and hope that you’ll be one of them. With our range of accommodation options, great facilities and activities there’s no reason not to bring a group to Barnstondale this year! Contact us soon to find out how we can help you.

Crafting Meadow Cabin to completion

The new Meadow Cabin has certainly caught a lot of attention at Barnstondale Centre this year and its been great for us to be able to keep you up to date with progress here on the site.

Meadow Cabin is now complete, which we’re absolutely thrilled about having seen it through all its stages. Now you can take a look too, in our latest video “Crafting Meadow Cabin”

Meadow Cabin will be formally opened on Thursday 10th November. We’ll be sure to keep you updated.

Activity days, Summer 2011

The start of the summer 2011 holidays saw the welcome return of the inclusive activity days at Barnstondale Centre.

Run in conjunction with Wirral Borough Council, these very popular events offer a fantastic opportunity for children of all abilities to try out a wide range of challenges and get a real sense of achievement - as well as having a lot of fun and making new friends!

All in all the Barnstondale inclusive activity days might just be a little snapshot in a lifetime but they’re a chance to make lifelong memories for everyone who takes part. So, watch this space, they’ll be back again very soon!

Meadow Cabin, views from the inside

The focus on the new Meadow Cabin has moved to the interiors now, which is an exciting stage to have reached. The Cabin looks like the other cabins now and while there’s a lot of work still to do inside, each day feels like a new milestone is reached.

The inclusive activity days at Barnstondale Centre remain understandably popular and we were delighted to welcome a full complement of participants to the centre on a beautiful spring day!

With adventure activities, creative activities, sports and music there was something for everyone and the day was a resounding success. Check out the photos and video from the day below and watch out for future activity days.

Flooring is going down, electrics going in and weatherproofing going on the roof.
